How We Handle Your Data

This page sets out what worldclassgems.com keeps about visitors and what you can ask us to do. Page revised October 31, 2026.

Data we hold

Contributions you make in public are saved so others can read them, and you can ask us to remove one.

To stop repeat votes, only a scrambled stand-in for the IP address is saved, never the address itself.

Should you sign up for email, we hold your email for one job: sending those emails; you can leave at any time.

As on any site, our server notes the address, browser and time of a request, for security.

We record plain counts on how pages get used, without names or emails.

What stays with you

Some tools keep your recent entries on this device, in local storage, and that is not sent to us.

Tracking and cookies

Browsing worldclassgems.com involves no sign-in, and we do not drop tracking cookies.

Should we add measurement tools or advertising, they may rely on cookies; browser settings can switch them off.

Who has access

We will never sell visitor information, now or later. Beyond the firms that run our servers and email, your data stays with us unless legally required.

Your choices

To see, correct or delete what we hold, email gems@worldclassgems.com and we will get back to you.

Other things to know

World Class Gems does not knowingly hold data from children; any such details are deleted once we hear of them.

When we revise it, the page shows the new wording with a new date.

Birthstone of the month

A birthstone a month, by email

On the first of each month: that month's birthstone, what it means and how to care for it.
